Good Parks Guide
2006-2007
The Good Parks Guide is the ultimate compendium
of over 500 of the best public, countryside, urban and historic parks
in the UK. This illustrated, full-colour book is compiled in
conjunction with GreenSpace and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS),
to encourage people to get out more and make the best use of their
local and national parks and green spaces.
Divided into 12 regions, the guide travels from Cornwall to London’s
Royal Parks, Wollaton Park in the East Midlands and as far as the
Highlands. Each park includes a brief description of why and when
readers should visit, with inspiring and helpful full-colour photography
throughout.
The
guide also includes:
A
brief description of each park outlining highlights, history and key
features, events and attractions
Full
contact details, opening times and admission prices
A guide to
important or interesting gardens, sporting and fitness areas, and
eating and parking facilities
Key maps in
each section to help direct readers to parks
